About Marie
Marie Starr is from Tipperary, Ireland and has been living in Yangon since 2013 during which time she has travelled extensively throughout Myanmar.
She has worked as a freelance photographer and writer as well as teacher, editor, copy editor and currently as design project manager. As well as travel features, her work focuses on art, culture, food and interesting people.
Her photography has been published in Al Jazeera Magazine and The Irish Times with regular article contributions to The Irrawaddy, Myanmar Times, Frontier Myanmar, Mizzima, MAI/Air KBZ Inflight magazine, Myanmore and Balance among others.
